We've officially launched the Learning Machines Laboratory, our effort at Rice to develop a personalized learning system that integrates text, video, simulations, problems, feedback hints, and tutoring and optimizes the learning experience based on each user’s background, context, and learning goals.

We're very excited to be working with two top-notch cognitive psychologists on the project, Prof. Elizabeth Marsh and Dr. Andrew Butler, both of Duke University.  The beta PLS system is being deployed and tested at Rice University in Fall 2011.
